Hello! I’m Sara Forrest, a Certified Hypnotherapist and Master Hypnotist. I’m a graduate of the renowned Hypnotherapy Training Institute and an accredited member of the Association of Hypnotist Examiners. My work is driven by a simple but powerful mission: to help you align with who you truly are and reach your fullest potential through the transformative power of hypnosis.

I believe that most of our struggles come from being disconnected from our authentic selves - living according to old patterns, limiting beliefs, or others' expectations rather than our own truth. Hypnotherapy offers a direct path back to that truth, helping you access your inner wisdom and create lasting change from the inside out.

When I'm not in session, I'm a proud mom to two teenagers who keep me grounded and constantly growing. I'm also a certified tarot card reader and the creator of an oracle deck based on the Twelve Spiritual Laws of the Universe - a passion project that combines my love of spiritual wisdom with practical guidance for everyday life. I bring all of who I am to this work: the trained hypnotherapist, the intuitive guide, the spiritual seeker, and the everyday human navigating this journey alongside you.   • Hypnotherapy is guided deep relaxation that helps you access your subconscious mind - the part that runs automatic patterns, habits, and emotional responses. You remain fully aware throughout and are never "under" or out of control. It's more like being deeply absorbed in a book than being asleep. I use this relaxed state to create positive changes that align with your goals.

  • Yes, virtually anyone can be hypnotized as long as they're willing to be hypnotized and have the cognitive ability to follow instructions.

  • No. You'll be in a deeply relaxed state, but you're aware the entire time. You'll hear everything I say, and you can speak, move, or open your eyes anytime you want. You're always in control.

  • No. You can't get stuck in hypnosis any more than you can get stuck daydreaming. If our session ended abruptly, you'd either naturally come out of the relaxed state on your own or simply drift into regular sleep and wake up normally.

  • Most people describe it as deeply relaxing and peaceful, similar to that drowsy feeling right before you fall asleep, or the absorbed state you feel when watching a movie. Your body feels heavy and comfortable, your mind is calm and focused. Many clients say it's the most relaxed they've felt in years.

  • It depends on your goals and what we're working on. Some clients experience meaningful shifts after one session, but most people benefit from multiple sessions for lasting change. During your free consultation, we'll discuss your specific situation and I'll recommend what makes sense for you.

  • Yes. Research shows hypnotherapy can be highly effective for anxiety, stress, pain management, habit change, and more. However, results vary by person. Your success depends on your openness to the process, your commitment to practice between sessions, and how well we work together. This isn't magic - it's a collaborative process that works with your mind's natural ability to change.

  • Almost everyone can be hypnotized to some degree—you've actually experienced hypnosis naturally many times (like when you're absorbed in a book or driving on autopilot). Some people go deeper than others, but you don't need a deep trance for hypnotherapy to be effective. If you can focus, relax, and follow instructions, you can benefit from hypnotherapy.

  • Yes, when conducted by a trained, certified hypnotherapist. Hypnosis is a natural state that you enter and exit on your own multiple times a day. However, hypnotherapy isn't a replacement for medical or mental health care. If you're dealing with serious mental health conditions, I recommend working with a licensed therapist in conjunction with hypnotherapy.

  • We'll start with a conversation about what brings you to hypnotherapy and what you're hoping to achieve. Then I'll guide you into a relaxed state and use techniques tailored to your specific goals. Sessions typically last 60-90 minutes. You'll leave feeling relaxed and often with a new perspective on your challenge.

  • Yes! Virtual hypnotherapy sessions are just as effective as in-person sessions. You'll need a quiet, comfortable space where you won't be disturbed, a reliable internet connection, and a device with video capability. Many clients actually prefer virtual sessions because they can relax in their own space.

  • I work independently from insurance companies to give you the most control over your care. While some insurance plans may cover hypnotherapy if deemed medically necessary, coverage varies widely. I can provide you with a receipt (superbill) that you can submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement, but I recommend checking with your provider first.

  • I require 24 hours notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours notice will be charged in full. I understand emergencies happen - please reach out and we'll work something out.

  • Come as you are! Wear comfortable clothing, avoid caffeine right before your session if possible, and arrive (or log on) with an open mind. That's it. I'll guide you through everything else.
